HP Printers - Print quality issues

While setting up an HP ENVY 5500, 5600, 6200, 7100, 7600, 7800, ENVY Inspire 7200, 7900, Tango, Tango X, OfficeJet 200, or 250 series printer, there is little or no cyan color on the Alignment Page, alignment test fails, or the quality of the color printouts is not as expected.

Examples of printed outputs with quality issues

Perform the following tasks in the order given.

Use genuine HP cartridges

Use genuine HP ink cartridges for your printer.

Make sure you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. HP recommends that you use genuine HP ink or toner supplies. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP or refilled cartridges. If you do not use genuine HP cartridges, the steps in this document might not resolve the issue. To check the authenticity of your cartridges, go to the HP Anti Counterfeiting and Fraud Program webpage (in English).

Purchase genuine replacement ink cartridges from local retail stores or from HP www.hp.com/go/suresupply.

Verify the printer

Verify your printer.

Affected printers:
